Ocean Elite was launched in November 2013. She is our 49th build, 17th Elite and the second Elite for these owners.
The owners specified a number of custom details that were unique at the time and included the twin anchor winch set-up and an instant boiling water system, highlighting once again one of the many advantages of a custom build – you get exactly what you want.
Ocean Elite has all the features that make the Elite Mid Pilothouse motor yachts such a popular and user-friendly configuration. The ease of access to the pilothouse, from the saloon or cockpit, via a few easy steps rather than the usual ladder in flybridge boats. This turns the helm station into another living area, meaning the helmsman is not isolated as is often the case on flybridge boats.
The separated saloon and dinette give you and your guests the luxury of space, affording the flexibility of options when entertaining guests. The feeling of space is further enhanced by the large electric window between the dinette and cockpit, accentuating the indoor-outdoor flow.
The three-cabin, two-head accommodation includes a large master cabin with an ensuite, providing the comfort and privacy you would expect in a motor yacht of this calibre.
Ocean Elite’s spacious interior consists of satin-finished teak cabinetry contrasting nicely with the light-coloured soft furnishings and solid surface tops. Solid oak soles in the galley/dinette and head areas add to the stylish interior design.
In the Mid Pilothouse design configuration, the engines are amidships under the saloon sole; this allows for a flatter shaft angle, improving propellor efficiency and lowering draft. Easy access to the engine room is via a door in the forward guest cabin, while large hatches in the saloon sole cater for engine servicing and maintenance requirements. The hull form is one that performs well with modest horsepower and has excellent sea-keeping qualities.
