The second pair of F620 Yacht Tenders was launched in October 2011.
Powered by Volvo D3 220hp engines with stern legs, rather than the Yanmar 260hp and Hamilton Jets of the earlier Kokomo boats; these Tenders achieved a top speed of 43 knots.
The sea keeping qualities of these boats continues to impress, with the heavily flared hull coupled with the folding bow dodger creating an extremely dry and comfortable ride. The Volvo power assisted steering system provides fingertip control, while the stern leg trim control further enhances the rough water handling capabilities.
A slightly lighter construction specification than the jet driven F620's gives a displacement of just over 1600kg, with full fuel and water. These boats are stowed through side doors in the motherships topsides, and the three point lift system with removable pad eyes is designed to simplify this procedure.
One boat will see operation as a Sport Tender, with rod racks, ski pole and non-skid painted soles, while the other has teak decks and will be used somewhat more in a Limousine capacity.
The tenders are CE certified to carry up to 9 passengers and crew with their associated gear, and the substantial foam fender, rather than an inflatable tube around the deck edge, maximises the interior space available with an abundance of comfortable seating and shelter from the elements.
Electronics include a Lowrance HDS7 plotter/sounder, Furuno AIS, Icom VHF and Fusion stereo system.
