This 8m custom Limousine Yacht Tender to the 220 foot SY Vertigo was launched in April 2011, and comes from the drawing board of Bakewell-White Yacht Design, with the original design concept from Philippe Briand.

With stunning styling designed to match her mothership's lines, and a quality of finish to complement Alloy Yachts' superb craftsmanship, the Vertigo tender is a truly exceptional vessel.

Powered by Volvo's new 5 cylinder 220hp D3 marine diesel engine, with a top speed of over 30 knots, this Tender also features heavily curved glass screens with a hinged centre section operated by an electric actuator to facilitate boarding over the bow when necessary. A three piece sliding hatch system provides shelter from the elements for guests, while also retracting into a removable cassette for when conditions allow, creating a completely open configuration. A pneumatically powered glass sliding privacy door can also be utilised to separate guests from the crew and to provide further protection from the weather.

Electric lifters operate a large engine bay hatch providing excellent access to the engine, Volvo QL water heater, sliding door compressor system and engine bay ventilation fans. Soundproofing to all engine bay surfaces except the faired and painted bilge creates a very quiet vessel while underway.

The electronics package features a Lowrance HDS10 chart plotter/sounder, Furuno AIS, Seatrak vessel tracking system, Icom VHF and Fusion stereo system. Also included is Volvo's new Automatic Boat Trim System, operating Interceptor trim tabs to automatically control the vessels trim while underway.

With a gloss black hull and metallic silver interior and superstructure, teak decking to all deck and sole areas and tinted curved screens, the Tenders styling is loosely based on a Venetian water taxi and will certainly not be out of place in the world's most exclusive superyacht havens.
