Century Fast GP
The first GP33 to be launched worldwide, Century Fast GP is built in fully vacuumed carbon composites and is an extremely light weight and high tech race yacht built under a very strict quality and weight control programme.
Both interior and exterior are finished to a very high standard, with many innovative design details incorporated to make this an exceptional race boat. The keel is a fully CNC machined, partially hollow section while the female moulded Pre-preg rudder is incredibly stiff and light.
Experienced America's Cup sailor Tatsuya Wakinaga directed the design development and oversaw the construction of the project in conjunction with Greg Stewart of NMYD. Century Fast was fitted with an NZ Rigging mast, North Sails and a Harken deck gear package.
Built for a Japanese owner, initial reports from her home waters of Sagami Bay have been very positive, with some excellent results against some significantly larger race yachts.
