Delivered in May 2026 'Django Shade' was conceived and built to support the championship winning 'Django' race yacht team, in the high performance world of grand prix yacht racing.
Combining speed, stability and operational capability, the Catalyst 50 Chase provides a versatile platform for race support, crew transfer, sail handling and event operations. Developed from the proven Morelli & Melvin Catalyst platform, 'Django Shade' has been custom built to meet the specific requirements of owner Giovanni Lombardi Stronati and his championship winning Django racing team.
At the heart of the design is a foil assisted catamaran hull that delivers exceptional efficiency, ride comfort and consistent seakeeping across a wide range of operating conditions. Powered by twin Mercury Verado V12 600hp outboards, Django Shade is capable of speeds in excess of 50 knots, while maintaining the predictable handling and stability essential for professional support operations.
The vessel's layout has been carefully configured to maximise functional deck space. The offset cabin creates a large uninterrupted working deck for sail handling and crew movement, while generous high speed seating with workstations provides protection from the elements during long days on the water. The reverse-raked windscreen and streamlined superstructure contribute to a distinctive profile while enhancing visibility from the helm.
Designed to carry people, equipment and sails all safely at high speeds, Django Shade balances high performance with practical usability. She effortlessly continues the Lloyd Stevenson Catalyst Chase Boat legacy, and fits seamlessly into the Django Race team family.
