After an incredible winter serving in Fiji, Catalyst Adventurer 'Render' has recently returned for a kiwi summer. The first part of the journey was under tow behind it's mothership Kokomo, with the final stages completed under her own power. Despite some strong trade wind conditions, the Catalyst behaved very well under tow, and demonstrated yet again how versatile and well designed these hulls are.
'Render' made the initial voyage to Fiji entirely under her own power, with additional deck fuel and a brief stop at Minerva Reef to rendezvous with Kokomo. She averaged 25 knots on this journey north, a very impressive achievement for a lightweight 45ft catamaran in open water conditions.
Render is equipped with Lloyd Stevenson Boatbuilders custom foil assist package, improving fuel consumption by 25% over a standard Catalyst. Twin V12 600hp Mercury outboards have proved an excellent match for this design.
